JUR is overseen by the Office for Undergraduate Research and Artistry in the Institute for Learning and Teaching at Colorado State University. The journal combines undergraduate and faculty involvement to create a cooperative approach to the peer review process and is registered with the Library of Congress. Since we accept submissions from all disciplines of undergraduate study and from any accredited institution of higher education, JUR is a truly unique journal. Submissions may include original research, abstracts, editorials, reviews, or other creative works. Undergraduate associate editors, peer reviewers, and faculty reviewers will rigorously review each submission. Any research submission must include the Permission to Publish completed and signed by the student's faculty advisor(s) and other coauthors. Pending the quality and volume of the submissions we receive, the first issue of JUR is to be published in fall 2010.
I am proud to say that JUR is a journal for undergraduates by undergraduates. It provides the opportunity for students to publish their own work and showcase their talents in any academic subject. This is a journal where research, poetry, reviews, and art can be featured side-by-side as a testament to the scholarly power of undergraduate students.
Sincerely,
